Process Engineer, Process Technology

Job description:

  •   Act as a process resource for the Equipment and Engineering Division and others as assigned.
  • Provide advice on equipment design, parameters and functionality for customers and internal colleagues as well.
  • Travel to customer sites to provide on-site process support either as part of a start-up or as a general service program.
  • Provide process training to Glatt personnel as directed by Manager.
  • Write, publish and speak on Glatt technology. Attend tradeshows and technical conferences as assigned.
  • Coordinate, direct and execute processing trials and demonstrations in Glatt’s facilities for equipment customers.
  • Investigate and become an expert on all Glatt technologies (beyond fluid beds) to serve as an in-house resource.
  • Support PTP and FFF projects by providing technical input to customers and sales staff when identifying new applications for equipment sales.
  • Ensure GAT / RDG’s customers receive high quality process solutions.
  • Provide customer training, create documents and programs.
  • Participate in Glatt Process Workshops and demonstrations.
  • Participate in external workshops with universities or other OSD vendors.
  • Perform other duties as required by management.
  • Remain current with emerging industry standards and products.
  • Remain current with cGMP’s.
  • Ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at very high levels.
  • Overnight travel: 25-50%.

Preferred skill:

  • B.S. Science (Engineering or Material Science preferred). 
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional processing experience (oral solid dosage equipment and technology). 
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills. 
  • Personable, self-motivated, assertive and the ability to work with others. 
  • Computer literate & able to utilize standard work processing, scheduling, and spreadsheet software (MS Office preferred). 
  • Time management skills & the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed; must possess a valid driver’s license
