Project Engineer
Glatt Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves significant travel (up to 60% overnight and 80% including local) across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico to support the startup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support of our industry-leading process systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site engineering services: FATs, commissioning, training, validation, troubleshooting, and warranty support.
- Support installation of electrical/mechanical components and retrofits; provide instructional documents as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
- Act as on-site liaison between Glatt and the customer, communicating scope changes and project updates.
- Document service activities: protocols, checklists, trip reports, drawing markups.
- Support rebuilds, preventive maintenance, and safety evaluations.
- Provide feedback to the Process Automation team for continuous improvement.
- Offer remote technical support to customers.
- Collaborate with project managers and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain high service standards and strong interpersonal relationships with customers and global teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Hydraulics, pneumatics, AC/DC systems
- Experience with hand tools, basic welding/metalworking
- Experience with Psychrometrics, VFDs, Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic
- Control system documentation (P&IDs, schematics, panel layouts)
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, and NEMA standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, Access, and/or SQL Server
- Valid driver’s license required
Salary Range:
$95,000-$125,000
